Maintaining Area Types

Mandatory Prerequisites

There are no Mandatory Prerequisites related to creating a Area Type.

Property Level: this is the drop down list of Property levels to enter the Area Types for.

 

Area Type table: this is populated with the Area Types already entered.

 

Area Type: this is the primary identifier for the Area Type.

 

Name: this is the friendly name of the Area Type.

 

Default Units: this is the units of measure the area is to be entered in.

 

Nominate as Type for Leaseable Area: this check box determines if the Area Type is the associated type for Leaseable area throughout the system. Only one type can be nominated.

 

Nominate as Type for Footprint Area: this check box determines if the Area Type is the associated type for Footprint area throughout the system. Only one type can be nominated.

How Do I : Add a new Area Type

  1. At the Property Level field, select the appropriate item from the list.
  2. At the Area Type field, enter a new Area Type ID.
  3. At the Name field, enter a descriptive name for the Area Type.
  4. At the Default Units field, enter the units of measure the area is to be entered in.
  5. Tick the Nominate as Type for Leaseable Area check box if the Area Type is to be the associated type for Leaseable area throughout the system.
  6. Tick the Nominate as Type for Footprint Area check box if the Area Type is to be the associated type for Footprint area throughout the system.
  7. Click the Application tool-bar push button: Add.
  8. Confirm that you wish to add the new record.

How Do I : Modify an Area Type

  1. At the Property Level field, select the appropriate item from the list.
  2. Double click the row in the Area Type table to change.
  3. At the Name field, change the description for the Area Type.
  4. At the Default Units field, change the units of measure the area is to be entered in.
  5. Tick the Nominate as Type for Leaseable Area check box if the Area Type is to be the associated type for Leaseable area throughout the system.
  6. Tick the Nominate as Type for Footprint Area check box if the Area Type is to be the associated type for Footprint area throughout the system.
  7. Click the Application tool-bar push button: Change.
  8. Confirm that you wish to change the record.

How Do I : Delete an Area Type

  1. At the Property Level field, select the appropriate item from the list.
  2. Double click the row in the Area Type table to delete.
  3. Click the Application tool-bar push button: Delete.
  4. Confirm that you wish to delete the record.
